Workers’ Rights
The Heartland Workers Center educates workers about worker rights, so that they can in turn educate others, promote and defend those rights. Over the past year and a half, the HWC, has built a relationship with different labor agencies, government agencies and attorneys that have helped us in providing trainings and workshops to the Latino/a workers.
Some of the trainings that the HWC has done in the past include:
- Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA)
- Family Medical Lave Act (FMLA)
- Wage and Hour
- Discrimination
- The Right to Organize
